Resident Visas
By accumulated time under a migrant visa
Foreigners who have held a migrant visa for an extended period (the required duration depends on the type of migrant visa) and have lived regularly in Colombia for 2 to 5 years. The required time to be eligible for a resident visa varies depending on the visa category.
Visa Transfer
The Colombia visa transfer is for updating your residence label or replacing it in case of passport damage, change, or loss. For holders of a Permanent Resident (R) visa, they must request the transfer every 5 years. Failure to comply with the
process every five (5) years may result in the termination of the resident visa.
